Nightlife entertainment in Bangkok has it all and more. That said, there are so many music venues in downtown Bangkok to explore if you want a wider variety.
The Living Room at the Sheraton Grande

For jazz lovers seeking a stylish venue to hang out, then the Living Room at the Sheraton Grande Hotel on Sukhumvit Road in the heart of Bangkok's business and entertainment district, may well be the place for you.
The Living Room is one of the city's premier jazz venues featuring top-class international jazz musicians every evening coupled with a sophisticated ambience in which to enjoy a cocktail, a chat or to simply soak up the sounds.
The venue is open nightly from 9:00 pm until midnight, however, every Sunday between 12:00 pm and 15:00 pm, you can listen to the same sounds while enjoying a superb buffet.

If you'd like to listen to live jazz on weeknights or some
impressive rock and blues on the weekend with an occasional reggae jam
session on Sunday, then the Saxophone Club is the place to be. This venue caters for a
mixed crowd of locals and foreigners and provides several options for
seating on its two floors. The club is situated near the
Victory Monument
on Phaya Thai Road and it's open from 6:00 pm until midnight.
Morlum Music from North-East Thailand
Tawandaeng German Brewery
Why not try one of the alternative nightclubs in Bangkok like the Tawandaeng German Brewery at Narathiwat Ratchanakharin. At this huge party palace, you can help yourself to some excellent home-brewed beer while being accompanied by big bands playing morlum music originated from northeast Thailand. This place is open daily from 5:00 pm until 1:00 am
Upstairs at the Q Bar in Bangkok

Popular with both locals and foreign visitors, the music at the Q Bar can easily vary from hip-hop to house or from acid jazz to drum and bass. Q Bar has been one of the most fashionable nightclubs in Bangkok for years now. It occupies two floors and a terrace with a dance floor that has seen plenty of action.
If you do get over here on a weekend, you'll get to become part of the greater party scene and enjoy the sounds from some of the top international DJs. You will find the club at 34 Sukhumvit Soi 11 and open nightly from 8:00 pm until 1:00 am.
Tokyo Joe's
Tokyo Joe's at 34 Sukhumvit Soi 11 can get quite busy over a weekend, however, it's one of the nicest nightclubs in this part of town. And no matter your mood, the friendly masses, coupled with the phenomenal atmosphere will soon get you going. Every night from 5:00 pm until 1:00 am the next morning, resident musicians play the blues and every so often they play jazz.

The Bed Supperclub
Resembling that of a huge spaceship, the ultra modern Bed Supperclub at 26 Sukhumvit Soi 11 in Bangkok, is a super hip dance club for the young at heart. Though hugely popular, I must warn you the drinks here are quite pricey and the set menu meals served at the rather swanky restaurant, are no different either.
The club, open from 8:00 pm until 1:00 am nightly, regularly hosts themed nights so you might want to dress up before coming here for a night out on the town. It's a shame to have to tell you that this Bangkok club has recently closed its doors.
Themed Party Night at the Bed Supperclub
The Witch's Tavern
If you want a great burger with a unique cocktail and a resident band that plays mostly cover versions of famous rock ballads, then go to the Witch's Tavern on 26 Sukhumvit Soi 55. Set in a Victorian-style building, you can listen to a number of live bands who usually start the evening off with some good gentle folk or jazz music and gradually pick up the pace as the night wears on.
The resident band is more than willing to play any of your requests and you'll be surprised at some of the classics they can play. The Witch's Tavern is open every day from 11:00 am in the morning until 1:00 am the following morning.
Nightclubs in Bangkok - Ad Here the 13th
One of the smallest nightclubs in Bangkok is at number 13 Samsen Road called Ad Here the 13th. This tiny hole-in-the-wall club near Khao San Road is where many backpacking tourists hang out. As small as it may be, the welcoming atmosphere combined with cheap beer and friendly vibes makes this place a real person-puller. During the week nights from around 10:00 pm, the house band will play mostly blues and jazz music with some extra special events on weekends.
